This three story North Idaho lake residence was designed in the spirit of the Ahwahnee Lodge in Yosemite National Park. G.D. Longwell - Architects took the clients' love for the California landmark and created this beautiful custom residence.
The design features a lake-level entertaining floor that flows into a romantic stone patio. This floor's low windows and the unique slope of the site create the illusion that the house sits directly on the water.
While the lower floor features easy access to the private dock, the upper floors enjoy beautiful views of Canfield Mountain, Hayden Lake, while maintaining privacy.
The rustic siding, Sun Valley granite, heavy timbers and cedar shake roof blend were selected to help the structure blend into the properties forest surroundings.
