
In order to accomodate the population growth in the northern half of the Lakeland School District, a bond for a proposed Junior/Senior high school building serving 650 students in grades 7-12 was passed in the fall of 1996.
The Timberlake Junior/Senior High students are housed in separate educational wings divided by a central administration and media center core.
G.D. Longwell - Architects unique design allows both age groups to share the same administrative, classroom and extracurricular facilities. The distance learning center, art, home economics, graphics, industrial technology, music, commons, weight room, wrestling room and computer classrooms serve Junior High and Senior High students at different times of the day.
